Before Practice Tips

  • Consult your doctor before beginning yoga
  • Avoid eating a large meal 2 hours before practice. Avoid snacks 1 hour before practice
  • Wear comfortable clothing, free from restictions like zippers or snaps. Take off jewlery
  • Avoid consuming alchohol or drugs prior to practice
  • Lay our your yoga mat on a flat, smooth surface
  • Practice indoors in a clean place that is not in direct sunlight
  • Remove distractions so that you willl not be disturbed
  • Consult a qualified teacher or yoga school with questions and feedback on your alignment, or body positioning in the poses
  • Always remain aware of your breath during practice. Easy breathing ensures a safe and beneficial practice
